Osteoporosis is a global problem with a rapidly increasing incidence, and along with it, the incidence of osteoporotic fractures in the elderly is also rising. Osteoporotic fractures are of concern as it results in debilitating consequences and is a substantial burden to health care
services and caregivers. Osteoporotic fractures commonly occur in the wrist, hip and spine. Understanding the management of these fractures is essential given their increasing occurrence.
