The Singapore Family Physician

The Singapore Family Physician (SFP) is the official journal of the College of Family Physicians Singapore. First published in 1975, The Singapore Family Physician (SFP) journal is published quarterly and circulated to all College members. Login to member's area to view the issues online.

Besides being the course material for the Family Practice Skills Course (FPSC) with units for Distance Learning, the SFP journal also publishes original articles of the following categories: case reports/study, original research works, review articles, audits of patient care, protocols for patient or practice management and letters to the Editor.

From its first issue in 2012, the SFP journal is now indexed under the Western Pacific Region Index Medicus (WPRIM).

SFP continues to be the main wagon which supports the continuous medical education and clinical updates for primary care physicians in the local community.

Note for all overseas College members:
From April 2010 onwards, College will not send hardcopy of The Singapore Family Physician (SFP) journals and The College Mirror to overseas College members.

Submit Manuscript to Editorial Manager
The Editorial Manager system was implemented in February 2010 to enhance the efficiency of the management of submitted articles for The Singapore Family Physician (SFP) journal.

The SFP journal welcomes original articles of the following categories: case reports/study, original research works, review articles, audits of patient care, protocols for patient or practice management and letters to the Editor. Submitted manuscripts will be considered for publication on the understanding that they have to be approved by the Editorial Board via a double-blinded peer-review process and subject to revision.

How to access the system:
First-time users. Please click on "REGISTER" and enter the requested information. Upon successful registration, you will be sent an email with instructions and your log-in information.

NOTE: If you have received an email from us with an assigned username and password, please DO NO REGISTER AGAIN. Simply log in using the provided log-in information.

Authors: Please click "LOGIN" and log in as "Author".

Reviewers: Please click "LOGIN" and log in as "Reviewer". If you want to submit a manuscript, you also have the option to log in as "Author".

How to use the system:
Authors: After logging in, authors can either submit a manuscript or track the progress of a previously submitted manuscript. Carefully read the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript.

Reviewers: After logging in, reviewers may access manuscripts assigned to them for review and submit comments to the editor and the authors.

Problems and FAQs:
Forgot your password? Click on the "UPDATE MY INFORMATION" button from the menu above, click on the "Send Username/Password" link below the different log in roles, and follow the instructions.

To change your password: Log in and select "UPDATE MY INFORMATION" from the menu. Change your password in the password field.
